CS Commercial were contracted to replace an aging warm air heater with a modern and efficient Space Ray SUH heater. The project involved meticulous planning, skilled Engineers and coordination with external contractors for scaffold installation and material deliveries. This case study outlines the scope of work, challenges faced and successful completion of the warm air heater replacement project.
Execution
Preparation & Safety Measures
We conducted a thorough site assessment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Erected a secure scaffold tower adjacent to the existing heater, providing a stable platforms for our engineers to work safely at height.
Removal of Existing Heater
Disconnected the bracketry and framework supporting the old heater and using the appropriate lifting equipment lowered to the ground and made ready for disposal.
Installation of New Heater
Positioned and secured the new heater brackets to the wall ensuring alignment and structural integrity. Hoisted the new heater into place using suitable lifting equipment. Connected the framework, gas and electrical supply. Tested the functionality of the new heater to verify proper installation and heating performance.
Final Checks & Commissioning
We conducted a comprehensive inspection of the entire installation to identify any potential issues or discrepancies, conducted operational tests and adjustments to optimise the heating performance and ensure client satisfaction, provided the client with operational instructions and maintenance recommendations for the new heater. Registered the new heater with the manufacturer to ensure validation of the warranty.
